7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Devotion
Love is one very practical way that we can participate in what God is doing in the earth. If we aren't sure what God is calling us to do, we can love! That is always what God is up to!
The concept here is awesome. Because God is love, whenever we choose to move in love, we are becoming more like Him. We are choosing to walk with him in loving others and therefore choosing to know him better, understand him better, and be transformed to be more like him! A church that I follow has the saying, "to know Jesus, to become like Him, and do what He does." So simple, and yet - YES! That's what we want, right?
So, let's make this super practical. Who do you know who needs to be loved today? Who can you encourage who is down? Who can you send a positive text to? Who can you pray for? Who can you send a gift to? Who can you bring a cup of their favorite coffee to? Who can you call who you haven't talked to in a while?
Do you know anyone who could use a little love today? What if you chose to show them love right now, and join God in what he's doing in the earth?
