Seek Him Like a Magi

Verse: Matthew 2:1-12

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?”  We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”

Devotion
The Magi traveled a long distance and faced many dangers just to seek Jesus out so they could worship him. For me, it's a powerful reminder of my need to seek Jesus in my life.

It can be easy to let lots of stuff pile up in my life that gets in the way of my worship. I can be too busy, or too stressed, or even too tired. But there is something so powerful about worshipping Jesus and he invites us to seek him still.

What does it look like to seek him today? Obviously you aren't going to get on a camel and start looking for a star, right?! It can look like making time to be alone with him. Or making time to read your Bible. Or listening to worship music while you drive, or while you work out. Or being alone in a quiet space and praying. And of course, going to church and worshipping.

The question is are we seeking him? Are we making the time, putting the effort in like the Magi did, to seek his face in our lives. He is inviting you to be with him, will you respond?
