Verse: 2 Corinthians 6:6-8
6 So we urged Titus, just as he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. 7 But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 8 I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.
Thoughts
How has God been generous with you? Think about that. It's a pretty intense question. We can start with the air in our lungs, the fact that God has given us life. We can look at the people in our lives, or the creation that surrounds us. We can also think about Jesus giving his life for us obviously. And what about on a daily basis? In what ways is God generous with you? How does he love you, support you, help you, and challenge you? How is he generous with his Spirit in your life?
All of that forms the foundation of our own generosity for others. When we really get in touch with how generous Jesus has been with us, it will naturally overflow in generosity to others. God's generosity in our lives becomes our generosity in theirs.
So, how had God been generous to you? And how does (should) that inspire us to being generous with each other?

Thank you for your generosity in my life Jesus - help me to be thankful for that and to pour that out into other peopele's lives!
