Radical Togetherness

Verse: ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:44-45

All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

Thoughts:
When we read these two verses they give us a picture of the radical "togetherness" of the early church. They truly believed, and lived, the fact that they were a family - a body of Christ - and that when one person suffered they all suffered. They carried each other's burdens literally not just figuratively.

This morning, I wonder if we paused right now on this passage and asked the Lord: who would he bring to your mind and heart who is struggling right now? Is there anyone in your life who is really going through a hard time, been sad lately, hurting, feeling lonely, or even struggling with their faith?

What could you do to come alongside them today? I love to read the Bible and then apply it to my life. The Bible isn't just information, it is meant to bring transformation. Rather than just reading about how radically together the early church was, let's allow the Word to speak to us, change us, and challenge us.

So right now, pray about someone in your life who needs to be lifted up. What could you do for them today? Don't put it off. Maybe a text to encourage them. Maybe pray for them. Maybe send them a note or a gift. Up to you - but I challenge you to pray and see what God does!
