Verse: Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Thoughts
What I love about encouragement is that anyone anyone can do it. You don't have to be specially talented, or be an expert in biblical history, or be super outgoing or anything like that. Anyone can be encouraging.

The only thing it really takes is intentionality. In other words, we have to actually try. We aren't going to be encouraging on accident.

But when we do it, it is so powerful. Can you think of a time when someone said something really encouraging to you? It sticks with you, doesn't it? A simple text, or card, or words said face to face can have such a lasting impact.

"Let us consider"—let us give thought to how we can "spur one another on." Let us spend time thinking about how we can encourage each other. How we can give each other a boost emotionally and spiritually. How we can challenge each other to stand up and be who God is leading us to be.

This is something you can do. You can make a difference in someone's life RIGHT NOW. Today. And every day.

So here's your assignment: encourage someone today. Shoot a text, or a snap, or do it face to face. But pray about who you should encourage, and then go for it. I promise you it will be worth it!

Prayer
Show me, Lord, the power of my words, and give me a heart of encouragement.
