Verse: Psalm 100
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Let's do a quick spiritual practice together. Take a moment and just be silent with the Lord. Maybe close your eyes. Try to just breathe and be present. Then, once you've kind of stilled your thoughts for a moment, try to think of things you can be grateful to God for.
Thank you God for breath in my lungs this morning.
Thank you God for your peace in my heart.
Thank you God for my church.
Thank you for my family and friends.
Thank you for creation. For the trees, and the mountains, and the creeks, and the rivers.
Thank you for your forgiveness for me - I need it every day!
Thank you for your love for me God.
I often pray the end of this psalm: The Lord is good and his love endures forever. The Lord is good and his love endures forever!
Start the day off with some gratitude for God. Allow your gratitude to connect your heart to him this morning.
