Thoughts
What is the most valuable thing you own? Your phone? A car? A pair of shoes (seriously, this is real for some people!)? Or maybe it's sentimental like something given to you from a loved one?
What would you do if you lost it? How hard would you look? How frantic would you be? What would you pay in order to find it?
That is the imagery that Jesus creates in this parable - when we find Jesus, everything else pales in comparison. When we realize the amazing and wonderful relationship offered to us by Jesus, everything else becomes secondary.
Sometimes people get the wrong idea about Christianity. They think of it as a burden, or a set of rules. But in reality, it is the most life giving, life transforming Truth in the history of the world. And Jesus is inviting each of us into it, every single day.
The amazing forgiveness, grace, love, and empowerment that God offers is for you. Do you know that? Do you know how much he loves you? Do you know how much he believes in you? Do you know his grace and strength in your life?
In short, do you know Jesus? It is worth giving everything else to discover him. He wants to walk with you every step of your life. Will you?

Jesus, I want more of you in my life - please come closer to me and pour out your Spirit into my life.
